Goldcore Review: Are They A Scam? (Updated 11/15/2020)

Goldcore Review (Updated for November 2020)

To anyone with two braincells left to rub together, it should be abundantly clear by now that the world economy is in quite the pickle and it's probably not coming back to previous levels anytime soon.

Perhaps you are one of those people. And perhaps you are thinking about hopping into precious metals like gold and silver because you feel that "paper" is just not going to cut it in this environment... (hint: you might be on to something...)

Maybe while on your search to find someone to work with, you stumbled across a company by the name of Goldcore.

But who are they exactly? Can they help you out? How is their support? Are they the real deal or just another scam?

Before beginning, it needs to be said that you are strongly encouraged to do your own research on any company you choose to work with before making any decisions. You need to do your own due diligence. You are responsible for your own decisions. Make sure to read every review closely before making a decision on whom you should work with, especially when it comes to precious metals. Do not rely on just one review or just one "review" website.

With that said, let's dive in a take a look, shall we?

Introduction:

Name: Goldcore

Year founded: 2003
Category: precious metals
Website: goldcore.ie
Price: varies

Products offered:

From the look of their website, it looks like they offer the following types of products:

  • Gold bullion
  • Gold coins
  • Silver bullion
  • Silver coins
  • Gold bars
  • Silver bars
  • It also appears that they offer various storage options. It does not appear that they offer platinum or palladium coins and bullion, though, so if you are into that type of thing, you might want to give them a ring and see if they can get you sorted out with that or not.

    Pros and Cons

There seem to be a number of "pros" and "cons" when it comes to Goldcore. Here are just a handful of them:

    Pros:

    • easily navigable website interface
    • secure storage options based in Ireland
    • clearly listed phone number on their website homepage
    • clearly listed "spot" prices on the top of their homepage

    Cons:

    • It doesn't seem the most clear whether they would be able to get you sorted out with a "gold ira" as they appear to be based in Ireland...
    • There does not appear to be any options for platinum or palladium bars or coins for that matter, if you are into that sort of thing...

    How are their reviews?

As they appear to be based in Ireland, they do not seem have a "BBB" listing. That said, according to third party review site TrustPilot, they have a rating of 3.7 out of 5. The caveat to that would be that it seems to be based on just one review, so maybe take it with a grain of salt. In the spirit of full disclosure, here is a quote of that review that was left on TrustPilot by a reviewer who goes by the name "Ronan Morley":

"Smooth purchase and delivery of metals & excellent customer service. They are my go-to precious metal dealer from now on." - Ronan Morley

That review of Goldcore appears to have been left in April of 2020, so it seems to be recent enough.

According to another third party review site, Ekomi.co.uk, they have over two thousand testimonals with an average score of 4.8 stars out of 5. Not too shabby, right? Like really, who could argue with that?

What are their storage options like?

It does not seem possible to store your metals with the company directly. That said, it appears that they do offer storage in locations from their associates across the world, including New York, Delaware, Salt Lake City, Frankfurt, London, Zurich, Hong Kong, Perth, and Singapore.

That sounds like quite the variety of locations, does it not?

If you decide to store your own metals, they can ship to over 130 countries worldwide.

    Is it a scam?

So, is Goldcore a scam? Absolutely not. They seem to be a legit company. It does not seem like it could be remotely possible that they have survived since 2003 if they were a scam. They have  a clearly listed phone number on their home page and even offer more than one phone number depending on which country you might be trying to reach them from.

Goldcore certainly seems like a legit company, but, as always, you need to do your own homework before moving forward. It is important to do your own due diligence and thorough research before making any decisions on who you should or should not work with.

Are there other alternatives out there?

If you are on the lookout to diversify or just re-up your stack, Goldco might be a great choice for you. Goldco (also known as Goldco Precious Metals) is a trusted and experienced full-service precious metals firm. They specialize in taking care of gold and silver IRAs, something that Goldcore does not appear to offer...

    Final words

No precious metals company is "perfect". Each one can offer a different approach to how they do things. One might be a better fit for you than another. They might do the same thing, just a tad bit differently. It might just be a matter of which one fits you and your needs better. Everyone is different, right?. There is no "one size fits all" answer for everyone. Each situation is different and should be treated as such. That said, Goldco seems like a great choice.
