My personal experience and what investors should know
Welcome to my Rosland Capital review.
I have covered the precious metals space for years and I have spoken with dozens of gold IRA companies. Some have impressed me and some have given me reasons to be cautious.
Rosland Capital sits somewhere in the middle and my personal phone call with them confirmed that feeling.
A Gold IRA gives you physical precious metals as part of your retirement plan and many investors like having something real in their hands.
With demand rising, many firms have appeared and the quality varies. When you are dealing with retirement savings, you want clarity, integrity and full transparency.
Rosland Capital is a company that many people consider but it also carries more controversy than the average dealer.
Some investors even claim it is a scam. I wanted to find out for myself, so I reviewed every detail and spoke with them directly.
My goal is to give you a clear, balanced picture so you do not walk in blind.
Quick Summary

Rating: 3 out of 5
What is Rosland Capital
Rosland Capital is a precious metals firm founded in 2008 by Marin Aleksov. They are based in Los Angeles and they are known for their television commercials featuring William Devane and other personalities. They later expanded to the United Kingdom and Germany.
They sell physical gold, silver, platinum and palladium. They also help customers set up precious metal IRAs through outside custodians. The company promotes gold as protection against inflation and economic uncertainty. This message has stayed consistent through every interaction I have seen from them.
When I personally called Rosland Capital to see how they operate, the representative was friendly but very sales driven. It felt more like I was being steered toward certain products rather than being asked about my goals. This tone matches some of the complaints I later found online.
Still, the company does offer a wide range of products and they clearly understand the basics of the precious metals market.
Rosland Capital Product Catalog

Rosland Capital sells a long list of products including bars, bullion coins and collectible pieces.
Gold products include:
American Gold Eagle, Canadian Maple Leaf, South African Krugerrand, Austrian Philharmonic, British Britannia, Mexican Libertad, Gold Buffalo, Australian Kangaroo, Perth Mint Lunar series and different sizes of gold bars.
Silver products include:
American Silver Eagle, Canadian Maple Leaf, Austrian Philharmonic, British Britannia, Mexican Libertad, Chinese Silver Panda, Cook Islands and many different silver bars.
Platinum and palladium:
PAMP platinum bars and various palladium bars.
Collectibles and commemoratives:
PGA Tour coins, Presidents Cup editions, Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus pieces, Formula 1 editions and other limited collections.
Collectors may find value in these pieces, but anyone interested in a Gold IRA should focus on the simple bullion items rather than the expensive collectibles.
Rosland Capital Gold IRA
Rosland Capital does not handle IRA custody directly. Instead, they work with custodians like Equity Institutional, National Trust and a few others.
Their IRA eligible metals include:
Gold
American Eagle, Austrian Philharmonic, Canadian Maple Leaf, Lady Liberty Proof, various gold bars
Silver
American Eagle, Canadian Maple Leaf, Lady Liberty Proof series
Palladium
Canadian Maple Leaf Palladium and palladium bars
To open an IRA, you call them, choose your metals and they coordinate with the custodian. My call with them felt quick and a little rushed. The representative focused more on selling than educating. This is why many investors prefer companies that take a slower, educational approach.
Fees and Minimum Investment
The Gold IRA minimum is 10000 dollars.
Typical fees are:
Setup fee, 50 dollars
Annual maintenance, 100 dollars
Storage, 100 to 150 dollars
Transaction fee, one percent of the purchase price
Custodian fees can vary. Always compare those before opening any IRA.
How Rosland Capital Works
The buying process is different from many dealers. You cannot buy metals directly from their website. You must call them to check availability and request pricing.
Here is how it went for me when I called them:
I looked at their products online, picked a few that interested me, then called the number on their website. The representative answered quickly. I asked questions about pricing and he gave me answers but always added a push toward certain coins. The call was recorded, which they mention at the start.
Once you agree on a purchase, they ship within about ten business days. Delivery is insured and requires a signature.
For IRAs, the process is similar but the custodian handles the account paperwork.
They also offer a free IRA guide if you provide your contact information.
Accepted Payment Methods
Rosland Capital accepts several forms of payment:
Personal check
Credit card
Bank wire
ACH transfer
PayPal
Some of these may carry extra fees, so it is worth asking before you send funds.
Storage Options
Rosland does not run its own vaults. Instead, they partner with major storage providers like Brink?s Global Services, Malca Amit and Loomis Fargo.
They offer two types of storage:
Allocated storage, where your metals are kept separately in your name
Segregated storage, where metals are stored together but still tracked by type and weight
Allocated storage gives more security. Segregated storage is cheaper.
Shipping Services
Shipments usually arrive within fourteen business days or earlier. Orders over 10000 dollars may qualify for free shipping.
Their listed fees vary based on destination and metal type. All shipments require a signature and are insured.
Educational Resources
Rosland Capital publishes articles, guides and market commentary. They also offer calculators and portfolio tools to help beginners understand precious metals. The material is basic but useful if you are new to the topic.
Buyback Program
Rosland does offer a buyback program but it comes with limitations.
They only buy back metals purchased from them
They do not buy back metals inside a self directed IRA
The price depends entirely on current market conditions
Processing may take several days
The important part here is that they do not guarantee a fixed buyback price and they do not advertise any major incentives for selling back to them.
Customer Service
Customer support is available Monday through Friday from seven in the morning to six in the evening Pacific time.
My own experience with them was mixed. The representative was polite but clearly motivated by commissions. Many reviews online reflect the same pattern. Some customers praise the service while others report aggressive sales pressure and pricing issues.
Location
Rosland Capital is headquartered in Santa Monica, California.
They also operate in London, Paris and Munich. They have buyback centers in several major cities across the United States.

Although Rosland Capital has been rated highly by websites, it is not immune to customer complaints. This section lists recent complaints that have been filed against Rosland Capital.

As you can see, most of the complaints filed against Rosland Capital are due to their customer service taking so long to respond, or having to wait for a long time to finish a transaction.

Rosland Capital Lawsuit History
Rosland Capital has been in the middle of several lawsuits. It is important to note that being sued does not mean that a company is guilty of wrongdoing. However, it is something to be aware of when considering investing with a company.
- William Dennison v. Rosland Capital LLC: In 2018, William Dennison filed a lawsuit against Rosland Capital alleging that the company had misled him into investing in precious metals. The lawsuit was settled in 2020, and Rosland Capital agreed to pay Dennison $20,000.

Goldco is our top-recommended precious metals company. They have one of the best, if not the best, precious metals IRA products and services in the industry. Not only that, their product catalog as well as their customer service is comparable to none other.
Is Rosland Capital a Scam?
It?s fair to say that things are not perfect, especially in companies. There are many ups and downs, and just because there are negative reviews on something, it doesn?t mean that it?s a total swindle.
Therefore, in all fairness, we can say that Rosland Capital is not a scam. Rosland Capital is a legitimate company that has been in the precious metals industry for 12 years and counting.
The only downside is that it receives undesirable reviews, negative comments, and complaints. Some customers said that the agents are not embodying professionalism.
There are also reports that their precious metals? prices are not according to their market value, and sometimes they are delivered with the wrong item. Mistakes are normal in business, but these are somehow repetitive, which makes people think that it is not recommended.
So, before you decide to invest in precious metals. Do your research first so you will not be disappointed and you will be at a gain.
