What is Goldseek Mint?

Goldseek Mint was a precious metals dealer based in Houston, Texas. It was created in 2009 and was a full-service mint that served the gold and silver investment community. The company offered a variety of products, including coins, bars, and rounds.

In July 2014, it was announced that its website had been launched to enable its clients to inquire and shop online. It even provided live pricing of the products. They featured their high-quality investment-grade bullion products.

However, currently, Goldseek Mint is no longer in business. The company's website is down and is unavailable. In connection, its Facebook page has also been inactive since 2017. It is unclear why the company closed down.

They possibly could be on hiatus, but after more than 6 years of inactivity, it is safe to say that Goldseek Mint is no longer an existing precious metals company.

What Were Goldseek Mint's Products?

Goldseek Mint offered various kinds of gold and silver in both bullion and coins. All of the orders were taken directly from the inventory and were shipped securely within the United States.

  • Bullion coins: Goldseek Mint offered a variety of bullion coins, including the American Eagle, the Canadian Maple Leaf, and the Austrian Philharmonic.
  • Bullion bars: The company offered a variety of bullion bars, in a variety of sizes and weights.
  • Rounds: They also offered a variety of rounds, which are similar to coins but do not have any official government backing.
  • Custom minting services: Goldseek Mint offered custom minting services, which allowed customers to have their own designs minted into coins or bars.

Based on my research, Goldseek Mint also offer numismatic coins and even investment/retirement services. Their products weren't as broad as our top-recommended company, Goldco. Be sure to check out this company if you want the best precious metals today!

When Did Goldseek Mint Close?

The Goldseek Website has been offline since July 2015. Their last Facebook message is dated April 2015, Twitter posting is May 2015 and Google+ posting July 2015.

Their reason of shutting down is unknown but there could have been factors of financial difficulties or legal problems. They were a young company in a competitive precious metals industry afterall.

Is Goldseek Mint Now Goldseek Resources?

There is another company called Goldseek Resources, which is a gold exploration company. However, this company is not affiliated with the former Goldseek Mint.

Is Goldseek Mint Legit?

For the record, Goldseek Mint was a successful company in its time of operation. The founders of the company David Wersebe and Peter Spina declared that the company has struck over $10M in gold and silver bullion-grade bullion since establishing in 2009.

In 2013, they launched their website GoldSeekMint.com allowing customers to conveniently an easily access their freshly minted gold and silver bullion products. In 2014, they commissioned a series of beautiful bullion rounds from the award winning design artist, Heidi Wastweet.

They were really legit. However, it really is strange to see their fallout. There have been no proven lawsuits of fraudulent activities as well as scams that the company was involved in.
